Kate Field letters and photos, 1876-1890.

The collection consists of five items, including two letters, two portraits, and a a page with two clippings and a picture. Includes: handwritten letter to Mrs. A.V.S. Anthony, 14 Dec. 1876, full of news of her activities, and bargaining to sell a gift of Mr. Landor's to the Art Museum; to Dear Young Boy, 26 Feb. 1890, replying to a request for her autograph, and suggesting that he might be interested in selling subscriptions to her paper, Kate Field's Washington. Also, a small carte-de-visite; large signed photogravure portrait, with two clipped obituaries of Kate Field on verso; page with three clippings, a portrait, a review of her biography, and a letter in praise of Kate Field's Washington.
